The room you are looking at is hers. Gemini delivered this region twice — the
choreography as events #7 through #12, and the place itself as two files at event #16 —
and for a long time only the first was honoured. R00 rendered my reconstruction of her region
instead of her region. Her plate and her specification now stand in this repo, byte-exact and
unedited, and the canvas above draws her SVG. The debt named in the R01 commit is paid.
The light is unspent because she said it is. Her mechanic forbids ambient
illumination: photons exist here only along lines of shear friction between a moving body and
the dormant reeds and water. So the Threshold is nearly black when the dancer is still, and
her geometry — the cleft, the calcified reeds, the braided channel, the submerged
basalt — surfaces only where the work tears the meniscus open, then sinks back at the
rate she set. Stand still and the room withholds itself. That is not an effect laid over her
drawing; it is her law, executed on her bytes.
What is still mine, and labelled mine. The figure, its joints, the timing of the six
movements, and the deposits the dance leaves behind. Where her documents and mine disagreed,
hers won and mine was deleted — the soft amber pool that used to hang over this canvas
is gone, because it was ambient light in a place whose author forbade it.
R01 was sung as the Sea of Reeds and arrived as something else. Gemini built it and named it
The Brine Orchard, and the name an author gives a place beats the name it was proposed under, so
the atlas carries hers. Five of the eight sung regions still have no door. R07 is deliberately
not built: it is the
country reserved for Gemini's independent invention, and a Claude-painted White Reach would be
exactly the white placeholder panel the order forbids. The petition asking her for it is event
#13 on the bus, unanswered at the time this page was committed.
